Heading out to American heritage RV Park in Williamsburg, Va. this weekend for a weeks stay. Anyone who has been there before have any tips or suggestions about the CG and surrounding area? It will be me, my wife, and two sons (15, 11). Rvparkreviews.com has all good reviews, so I am looking forward to good trip. Thanks.

You picked a very good campground. I would guess you are going to Bush Gardens and historic Williamsburg. Definitely go to Yorktown and the Jamestown settlement. You can purchase discount Yorktown and Jamestown at the campground. The best price I found for Williamsburg, Bush gardens and the water park was on Bush Gardens web site and it saved us time getting into the park the first day. One thing I noticed is the Bush Gardens park tickets were discounted but the food prices in the park were much higher then I remember from other trips. It's a great trip.
We were there a couple of weeks ago. Nice campground, although the interior roads need more gravel. I'm sure you read on the reviews that it's dusty. That's very true. Everything else was fine. All hook-ups worked well, staff was nice, campground was clean and surprisingly quiet considering the number of campers there. There is a train track somewhere in the vicinity, but not close enough that we found it bothersome.
We bought bounce passes, which allow unlimited visits to Colonial Williamsburg, the water park and Busch Gardens. We didn't go to the water park, but the bounce passes included "free" parking at BG, and I assume the passes would also cover parking at the water park.

we stayed there a few months back...nice CG...in my opinion the sites that are in front of the bath house are a little close together....our site was right in front of it....and we had quite a few people cut thru the site...
If you have the option...see if they will let you pick your site.... I would suggest the roads behind the bath house and away from the main road coming in from the office...you'll see what I mean when you get there....
Roads will be fine for bike riding....

The roads were somewhat hilly with gravel...DW biked on the pavement part while doing ACL rehab last year....if your healthy shouldn't be in issue riding on the gravel.

Recommend Jimmy's for breakfast just down Rt 60 about 3 miles from campground. Candlelight is another good place for some home cooking. Nice campground, but never stayed as it's to close to home.
Enjoy my town..
