In the TT forum, contact Les Adams (moderator) - I believe he made his own or can point you to the instructions.

Did you hear what the masochist said to the sadist? He said, "Hit me". The sadist said, "No".

I've tried several, but wasn't happy until I bought my RotoChocks. A bit more pricey than some of the others, but rock solid, and lockable!

Roto - Chok -- well worth it and will help stablize the trailer to some degree.

I used Roto Choks for several years, they now are in the side box. Haven't use them in over 2 years since we now have a Hydraulic Jacks (6 ea). However I recomend you go to Tractor Supply or most Heavy Truck place. Paid $9.00 ea and when we are on a very unlevel site at time I will throw them behind a wheel. Only takes seconds to put them down or pick them up and they will work. But the Roto Choks are the best money will buy and will last for many years and if you upgrade in 5th wheel and the distance is different between the tire. Then just call Pearl at Roto Chok and just order new plates. GBY....

Yes it was LAdams the Mod. I don't have the link but you should be able to search it out. Les did a really nice job, black paint and all.
This is another link, same idea.
clicky
I have very limited space between tires and this worked pretty good. I just use my old ratchet from the "Bal between the wheel" chock.

I'm a "do-it-yourself" fan too!
Often it's fun -and easy- to save a buck!

BTW - The link from the first page does nothing to stabilize.
(chocks not only need to keep the trlr from rolling - they should eliminate "motion")

The scissors type BAL chocks look/ed pretty good, considered those also - however, I'm a Roto user & fan.

IMO - this was one of those things that "somebody" *does* have a better idea - and the product is worth the expense vs "home-made".

Depending on what (other style) you may consider - make sure the mechanism to tighten the chocks is easy to access.
(from the top? side? bottom?) Anything (like "fenders") in the way?

If you decide on Rotos:
1. Before you call - measure the distance between the two tires on your trlr.
2. When (if) you call - say Hi to Pearl from the Roto fan club, LOL!

I also have home made chocks and broke one last weekend. I said that's it I'm going to order Roto chocks. But when I looked at it I fixed the homemade ones with a new 3/4" pipe clamp for $13 insteat of $130. The next time one breaks I may swap out but not yet. The new X chocks look intresting also.
