If you are out on the road between Edson and Vancouver please keep an eye out.

Police are asking for help finding Lyle Thomas McCann, 78, and Marie Ann McCann, 77, who left St. Albert, Alberta, on July 3, 2010, but haven't been seen or heard from since.

St. Albert RCMP are asking for information about a local couple headed to British Columbia’s Fraser Valley on vacation who have not been seen or heard from since July 3.

The couple — Lyle Thomas McCann, 78, and Marie Ann McCann, 77 — left their St. Albert home on July 3 driving a 1999 green and white Gulf Stream Sun Voyager motorhome that was towing a light green Hyundai Tucson. The motorhome’s Alberta licence plate is NBZ 836 and the Tucson’s licence plate is ZPK 289.

The pair, longtime St. Albert residents, had planned a weeklong camping trip through the Yellowhead on their way to Abbotsford, B.C. They were supposed to meet a family member in Abbotsford on Saturday, but never showed up. No one has heard from them since they left St. Albert.

RCMP Const. Janice Schoepp said it would be “completely out of character” for the couple to change plans without telling their family.

“That’s why we’re concerned,” she said. “They’ve had no communication with the family since they left.”

The couple carry a cellphone, Schoepp said, but no one has been able to reach them.

The motorhome was last seen in the Edson area around July 5, police say. Edson RCMP have been searching the area, Schoepp said.

Police ask anyone with information to call the St. Albert RCMP at 780-458-7700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

We have friends coming over the coquihalla today so they are going to keep and eye out. We are headed to Kamloops from Louis Creek and will keep an eye out on hwy 5 (yellow head).

Hopfully they just broke down and are not in a cell area and not unable to call home. I will try and keep you posted.

If you could post a picture of their coach, others could keep an eye out for it in campgrounds etc.

This is the newest information. Does not sound good. I just got this update when i went to look for a picture of the MH (sorry I could not find one).

EDMONTON — The motorhome of a missing St. Albert couple has been found by the RCMP.

The couple — Lyle Thomas McCann, 78, and Marie Ann McCann, 77 — left on vacation on July 3 and were expected to arrive in Abbotsford, B.C. on Saturday. They never arrived.

RCMP have confirmed that their motorhome, a 1999 green and white Gulf Stream Sun Voyager, has been found in the Devon area. The couple were towing a light green Hyundai Tucson with a licence plate of ZPK 289, which is still missing.

Police ask anyone who has spotted the missing SUV to call the St. Albert RCMP at 780-458-7700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Rig broke down, couple used towed to go for help then diverted to somewhere and have yet to be found?????

I sure hope this ends well.

It would be good if the RCMP would post a pic of the SUV so folks could keep a lookout for it.

For those interested: First is a pic of their coach in case someone saw them prior to RCMP finding it. The second is of a Tucson in case you don't know what it looks like and the third is of the couple. Hope this ends well, but time is an enemy......Dennis

If their cell phone is on, it should be possible to determine their position. Since that hasn't happened, it would seem to indicate they may not be able to turn it on.... this is worrisome.
