Napa has all the brake parts including the rotors if needed. I had lots of problems with my last coach with the brakes and they had everything available within a few days. I believe the parts were under a F450 or F550 superduty chassis.

The problem is not confined to motorhome dealerships. I had a similar problem a couple of weeks ago at my local Ford delaership when looking for upper and lower rad hoses for my 1994 Bounder on an F53 chassis: out of production, no longer available. I got the hoses from Rockauto, genuine Motorcraft (Ford).

I had the same problem with my last P30 (Chevy) based motorhome, brake parts no longer available at the dealer, but always able to get genuine ACDelco parts at local aftermarket shops. I don't often check dealers for parts any more.

The reason I'm thinking about downgrading is that I'm presuming that there likely are many many more parts that are no longer made. Maybe the brake lines are the only parts they stopped making, I don't know. According to my dealer, they scanned all of the local parts houses for dealer or aftermarket lines and had no luck. I went through parts problems with a previous MH that was on GM chassis. If I'd been on the road whsn I had this brake line problem, I would have likely found myself stranded for a month. Doesn't make for much of a vacation to me... Nope, with a trailer I'm more likely to be able to find four wheels and 2 axles to get me home.

UPDATE: Issue later identified to NOT be a supply issue but a legal liability issue for the dealer if they used some aftermarket parts.

That's just plain old BS on their part. Get off your computer and call the local NAPA store. They'll have brake lines for you in one day if they don't have them in stock.

OEM are only required to keep OEM parts for 10 years then it is in the aftermarkets ball park.
I deal in 40, 50,60 year old cars and i don't have a problem finding replacement parts !!!

Forgot to mention, hoses can be OEM rubber or SS braided (also available in colors:-). SS will out live the MH.

Rock Auto has his hoses starting at $18.64 each. Can you custom make them for less than that price?
