Has anyone added a second air conditioner to their KZ Inferno? We have had our unit for a year and until now, never felt like we needed it. This weekend was HOT and the temp inside the unit won't go below 85 during the day. The bedroom and main bath are the coolest points, with the main living area and the garage being the hotter areas. Not sure if adding the second air (placed in the bedroom by KZ) would make sense. Please help

How about one of these? Turbo Kool
They're about as much as an A/C unit, but you don't need the gen running. If you're in the southwest (which you don't seem to be), it's a great way to stay cool at night too.

NM, we have an '09 KZ Inferno 3905 toy hauler (no garage) and have two A/C units (from the factory). One unit is in the cargo area and the second in the bedroom. Like yours, the bedroom and bathroom still remain coolest but the air can be redirected away from those areas if necessary. We live in Arizona and without a second unit we wouldn't have a chance of keeping it cool.
If you add the second unit make sure you have enough generator and power for it (50amp service). We have the Onan 5500 which runs both no problem.
How do you like your Inferno? I haven't seen all the other brands but I'm very happy with ours.

We LOVE the looks of our Inferno..but we have had a boatload (or would that be rvload) of problems with it. Most have been just annoying things, but bigger issues, as in the couch not sliding with the slideout, nail pops in floor, generator not working all the time, washer/dryer unit not being secured, etc. have put a real damper on our experience. That being said, we love the layout (3 adults, four kids and 2 St. Bernards) since it gives us the room we need. The garage area turns into a living space for us and having the two bathrooms is awesome (as is having a tub to soak the little ones in).

We have an Inferno with the garage. Second A/C in the bedroom. Great for me, cause I like it cold at night. It does help when it's hot outside, running both. Even though it's in the bedroom. Just leave some doors open. Side note, the garage bedroom doesn't cool well if that door is closed.

Had a similar setup in a custom van back in the day. It didn't work very well at all.

I don't have a Inferno, I have the New Vision model. My trailer came with one AC unit which is in the living room/kitchen area. Mine also has ducting vents that pipe the AC into the bedroom, and it works great. I can throttle the vents at the AC unit to get more or less into the bedroom.
The trailer was wired for a second unit, but it is wired to the garage area. I've never really needed the second one (Yet). And I've been in some 110 deg weather here lately between Henderson NV and Palm Springs.
I'm guessing the Inferno has a AC unit with no ducting to the bedroom area??? Is that why they wired those to the bedroom and not the garage?

They did include two vents in the bedroom. The main unit works very well. But on super hot days and me liking it cool when I sleep, the extra unit in the bedroom is nice. Otherwise it is overkill and never gets used.

We have a KZ New Vision, it was wired for second a/c in the garage. I did not see the point in putting a/c in the garage, so I put the second unit in the living room. Ran the wiring through the ceiling and tied into the pre wired a/c outlet in garage. works great. If we use the garage for more sleeping space we leave the door open and put a box fan in doorway. It cools the garage fine.

We put a second a/c in the bedroom. It helps greatly! We also have seen an Inferno with 3 a/c units, bedroom, main, and garage.
