Even the See Level didn't help much. Here's why - My tanks are relatively flat, and the sensor readout changes drasticaly depending on the relative levelness of the RV. I ended-up just taking educated guesses, depending on useage.

What would happen if you removed the wiring from the sensors and applied 12 volts + & - to the sensors while the tank is full of water? would it boil off the******on the probes? I guess you would have to monitor the heat of the probes ( if there is that much produced) Never have tried something like this but on the other hand I don't have problems with my probes either.

Mine were screwing-up and nothing I tried worked..... until I checked the electrical connections. The return or ground terminal was corroded. I cleaned it up, smeared it with battery terminal grease and never had problems again.

We had a Bounder with this problem, and tried everything-ice, wand, extra cleaner, etc. Eventually just recognized about when we needed to drain the tank-usually when it was 1/2 to 2/3 full. Fortunately didn't have a problem after that.

Empty the tank. Add ROEBIC Septic tank treatment. FILL the tank. Leave set for a couple days or more. The little bugs will clean that tank. It may not fix the sensors, but the tank will be clean. After doing that,I emptied my tank ( I have a clear coupling at the discharge. You'd be suprised at the crud that came out.

After I have made my last dump before heading home I give the gray and black tanks a quick flush and than I add dish soap to each and all the hot water I have available. Driving home wash's the sensers and when I get home I just dump the soapy water out on the ground. Of coarse I have a few acre's to do it on, but else ways you could find a dump site close to home.
