The Android market place is still a mess. Google needs to reign that in.

. Please explain the "mess". Do you mean there are many manufacturers using the open market Android system vs. Apple's one phone take it or leave it strategy?

Apple's app development is completely open, I don't know why people get confused on that.

The only way to get apps on your phone is directly from your phone, when looking through thousands of apps that is slow and inefficient. When they get up to apples level of apps, looking through hundreds of thousands of apps on a phone is not fun.

No desktop integration for apps and in general the desktop integration stinks for Android phones

Google is reactive as opposed to proactive when it comes to bad and harmful apps. They wait until an app is reported and has done harm before removing. Apple on the other has is proactive and tests each app before posting it in the store.

Android OS updates don't work for every phone, so while one app may work with version 2.0 it may not work with version 1.6. If you have a phone that can't take 2.0 then you have to look through apps slowly on your phone that work with version 1.6. For example most of Sprint's Android phones run version 1.6, but most developers are writing for the latest OS. Now that fifty thousand app store turns into 10k app store.

Way too many apps harvesting your information. Google has no control and people's personal information is flowing out of their hand sets without their knowledge. Why would you want spyware on your phone? Or trojans? You make an app, it gets instantly approved and can do a lot of damage until it's reported and removed.

MANY developers complaining their apps are unfindable.

Complaints that upgraded apps have gone missing.

A simple google search will reveal the many problems and complaints on the Market place. Google needs to step up and gain control.

8 mp cameras might be great on the surface but if all you do is send mobile shots to other phones or places like Facebook do you need 8 mp? Yet critics pan Apple for only providing a 5 mp camera balanced to what most users really use a phone camera for. One thing I don't want to do is carry spare batteries and tiny SD memory cards along with my phone.

Here is where people get confused they think an 8Mp picture is better then a 5MP picture. that's simply not true.

For some reason the camera portion of the Android phones has been a constant complaint.

Just because it has a bigger number doesn't make it better. Having a bigger number allows you to print larger pictures or zoom into specific areas of a photo and get a better result.
