A dear friend of mine has been diagnosed with cancer and will have to stay 5 days a week for 19 weeks for treatment at Good Hope motel adjacent to Moffit Cancer Center. The accomodations are for free but requirements are that she will need care from family during her stay.
I am down here in Florida and the family needs my help.
Does anyone know of an RV park or CG close to this cancer center where I would be able to park my MH?
Thank you

Sorry about your friend. Not sure how far away Hillsborough River State Park is from there. HRSP is not far from Interstate 4 which will take you Tampa.
You may want to call the Rangers at this park and tell them the situation. They may know of a closer RV park where you could stay.

hillsborough river state park is close. I have a 2 part section on my blog, see below. There maybe others but some are in bad areas. If you get any other information and want to send me a PM I will be willing to check them out for you.

Thank you. I checked out the Hillsborough State Park and it's perfect.
It's about 15 minutes from the Good Hope Lodge at the Cancer center. She has to stay there during her treatment 5 days each week but she has to have someone stay the full 24 hours each day. So now that I know I can park my MH near there we will be able to have family/friends take turns staying each day with her and using my MH as a home base, and travel vehicle. A bonus for me is that the park allows pets too.
BTY: you blog is great! Very informative for those of us that need help finding a good clean CG.
Thank you again.

How big is your MH. Hillsborough River State Park is kinda tight for big rigs.

True. Although I do recall some pull through sites -- not many, but they do exist.

I've stayed at Hillsborough River SP and it is a great park. Wanted to also through this one out there. I had a friend, similar situation as you described. He ended up staying at Tampa East RV Resort. He got a great deal for his stay. I just looked them up and they have some more great deals. We stayed a few days at the park during this time. Nice park and this time of year was not very crowded. Just FYI.
Good luck.

There's a decent-looking Encore park in Land O'Lakes that's fairly close.
