This had nothing to do with pests, just companionship.
But I'm pretty sure the two of them will keep my RV rodent free.
Cats & mice are natural enemies . . .
You'll have no mice with cats .
It's just that simple.

Won't garlic give the mice indigestion and bad breath?
In addition, I do believe garlic is good for their overall health. At least that's what I recall Paul Harvey or some other radio talk show host saying!
Plus I recall several years ago a pic or small cartoon clip of a cat holding a machine gun and firing away. Was definately a hoot. Was posted here on TL forum.

With all respect to your efforts, finding and mouse proofing every hole in your rig is impossible. Once they get up under the rig, ( climbing front or rear jacks, power cord, tires) there are plumbing holes, electrical holes, holding tanks etc. that are hidden from your view. Once the little guys get on the underside framework, they are in, despite your best efforts. Mouse bait is your best first defence. Place it close to the areas where they can gain access to your rig. After all they are just foraging for food, make it easy for them to find it.
One further note. Your first indication of mice will be the droppings, small, black, oval, about 1/8". Although the droppings are disgusting, the unseen urine is the bad stuff. Mice don't have bladders so where ever they travel they leak a trail. When cleaning up, use a mask and glovesfor your protection. Diluted bleach does a good job.

On one of the MANY mouse proofing threads, a poster said he found bits of steel wool in the mice nests!
IMO - give one of the electronic devices a try - Transonic (Weitech)
or check out D & R Technologies site.
D & R Technologies
Lots of links here - Various electronic pest control products
Combine with "FreshCab" and/or Irish Spring. Dryer sheets *may* work when new - but (IMO) effectiveness goes away as they age (dry out).
Worth a try - beats crawling around under your rig . . . and finding out you weren't successful!

I am afraid to use bait because isn't that going to draw them to the trailer?

Borrow someones cat for the weekend, he'll take care of it. It happened to us once too. We usually take our cat camping with us, and during the middle of the night he went bonkers. Needless to say he caught a mouse. Problem solved.
Good luck...
