Howdy!

We stayed at both KOA an Four Mile State Park. Though the KOA was over priced as with all KOA's. I would take the money saved staying the State Park right on the lake and spent it enjoying the Falls area. When staying at the Park you also have excess to Old Ft. Niagara. We were lucky enough to be there during the 4th of July when they were having reenactment at the Old Ft Niagara.

thanks for the help(: I'm leaning towards the SP because we normally don't spend too much time at the CG at destination trips but at the same time I'm thinking it's be awfully nice to split the day up with a dip in the pool.

We just returned from KOA Grand Island and enjoyed the pull-thru sites. CG has all that you would want and close to the falls. We did not have time to use all they offered, but enjoyed the easy location to the falls and other attractions in the area. Friendly folks who offer tours and maps to local shopping and etc. Wood on the pricy side, but otherwise very nice store with goodies.

Are you aware the pool is not at Four Mile Creek S.P. but a few miles away. At the S.P. there is a beach of sorts where the kids could paddle - throw rocks, etc. I don't think it is very good for swimming from what I remember.

Yup - splitting the day up and enjoying the pool would be at the KOA whereas if we stayed at the SP we'd be using it for a place to eat breakfast and dinner, enjoy a campfire, and sleep.

Thanks for the help everyone! I booked the 4 Mile Creek SP last night after we decided that we'd likely be on the go too much to enjoy all the amenities the KOA offered and just use the site as a base.
