I had a Honeywell HW2000i with my old Class A that I sold this winter. Only used it while boondocking as the built in 6500 Watt generator was way too noisy and obnoxious. IT was able to run my AC during a hot day but I turned all the other breakers off so the AC would have enough power.

Thought it was a nice little generator, now that I have a TT without a generator I REALLY miss it and am planning on buying another one before the summer is over.

Sadly not going to get one before my 2 week trip next week that includes staying at 2 different state parks :-(

I would second the Champion 3500/4000 watts with 30 amp rv plug built in.
Bought mine 2 years ago new for $300.00 and we boondock with 5 other campers in our group 3 of which have the same one, and so far no trouble with any of them.

Depending on how big of a generator you want, you might wait and see what the new Champion inverter generator is like… due out in August I think…

I just put a brief update on this generator in the official honeywell thread.

I have a Honeywell 2000i. I like it better than my Champion. The Honeywell won't run the A/C but then we never seem to need it. What I like about the Honeywell is it is quieter under a partial load and I can lift it by myself. The Champion weighs 100 lbs., which is too much for me.

I use the Honeywell 1000i. I only use it about 1 1/2 hrs per day to recharge my battery when dry camping. It's quiet, easy to carry and works great for recharging. I have stayed out for 7 days with only 1 12V battery using the generator. My Honeywell starts easily and doesn't consume much fuel.
