Winnie has a 2011 that has a rear slide bed and a side slide dinette. No overhead bed, just storage and entertainment.

The 2009 and 2010 Winnebago View and Itasca Navion 24A floorplan has a huge almost full wall slide...they have to be one of the most "roomiest" Sprinters out there....

Handbasket wrote: Maybe an oversimplification, but I expect the roomiest Sprinter would also be the heaviest one, with the least CCC & towing capacity, which are the areas they're supposedly most challenged in.
Jim, "Mo' coffee!"
I own a Winnebago View and yep it "only" has 949lb of OCCC. When we load up for an extended trip we are not overweight and we carry a weeks worth of food...we carry 20 gals of water and dump just about every day. If we were planning on towing I probably would not have purchased this MH...though there are many that do tow with their Views...it is an outstanding MH!

If considering a motor home with a Sprinter diesel chassis, one should understand how it compares to the Ford E350 which some RV manufactures build the same RV on either chassis.
Better Things About The Sprinter With Diesel Engine
- Provides roughly a 25% improvement in fuel economy over the Ford-V10, if both are loaded and driven the same.
- More comfortable driver compartment with improved leg room.
Better Things About The Ford E350 with V10 Engine
- Sprinter has an inflated purchase price, $12k-$15k over the Ford E350 for otherwise the same motor home
- The Ford V10 engine has 50% more horse power and torque
- The Ford E350 chassis carries 1430 pounds more of people, water, gear, etc.
- The E350 can tow a heavier car, boat, whatever.
- The E350 rear axle has wider stance by nearly a foot, making it more stable.
- In most places, gas costs less than diesel fuel
- The Sprinter diesel has limited mechanical service shops around North America
- The Sprinter diesel is almost always outfitted with a propane generator. If you want a diesel generator, it will cost multi-thousands more, and is much heavier
- The latest Sprinter diesel engine is not allowed to idle for extended periods. I wonder if that is because of the new emissions equipment they have, especially that very expensive exhaust thingy. What happens in a nasty traffic jam? This limitation is also detrimental when you need a/c but there are generator restrictions or you have generator or roof a/c failure. The Ford V10 idles quiet and will pump out very cold dash a/c far into the cabin very effectively. You can safely idle the Ford V10 until it runs out of gas. At idle, the Ford V10 uses the same amount of fuel as the generator, so you have an economical a/c backup plan, especially valuable if you have a baby, pets, or health/respiratory issues.
- There are numerous economical aftermarket chassis upgrades available for the Ford E350
You decide what your priorites are, and pick the appropriate chassis.

I'm not sure what your post has to do with the OP question? He is not asking about a comparison between the Sprinter and the E350.

We looked at the Winnebago View and the Itasco counterpart and really liked them, only problem is they have no room. We went with a 31C Outlook.

That 240 looks to have a weight problem. We were interested in the Sprinters when they were introduced by Winnie. Problem was weight. GVWR and GCWR have since been increased but the problem continues. We travel as a group of three as our 36 year old son who has Down Syndrome is always with us. After you deduct our weights it leaves only 400 lbs for everything with the Prism (we took a look at them two years ago when we had our Jayco serviced in Middlebury - they had one unique interior that we really liked but is no longer in the lineup. But, unless all three of us were filled with helium we'd be overweight without adding anything else. I suspect that killed it after one year.
Take a look at the Coachmen Freelander as 2 of the models in that line are on the Sprinter and they report MUCH greater CCC (double for one of them - if their numbers aren't a crock).
For the Four Winds, it appears they are still using the older chassis with much lower GCWR so towing would be more limited.

The Prism M240 has a rear queen slide with a unique layout. The 23 gallon freshwater tank is very small, but this Prism is unique.
Do any of you Class C forum regulars know of any roomier Sprinter Class C floorplans?

To each his own as they say....we feel the 24A has plenty of room for us...the 31 foot is HUGE...it is really nice that there are so many different floor plans to meet our different needs!
