Every 12 months (every 6 months - when time permitting), I hand wax my wife's 29ft TT. From bumper to bumper and from roof to its window trims. Everything gets manually cleaned.
Currently, I have Mother's Auto wax on one side of her trailer. On the other side, I have Meguiar’s Cleaner Wax. Hoping to perform side by side comparison and see which product is better (in the long run). Jury is still deciding which of these 2 specific products is better (for my liking).
While shopping yesterday, I stumbled upon Meguiar’s Wax for Boats. It appears to be simular base as Meguiar’s Cleaner Wax for autos but has UV Protection additive. For bottle visual comparison, surf:

Just wondering if Meguiar’s for autos WAX or Meguiar’s for boats WAX is better? Should I do a side by side comparison of it as well???
Auto wax or boat wax - which is better??? What to you think???

I've always used Nu Finisn polish on my trailers. Works great on both metal and fiberglass. Easy on and off and last for the season.

On my filon trailer I always used a boat wax with UV protection. On my current aluminum sided trailer I use car wax.

Another vote for Nu Finish. I do wish it had a no spill cap though.

Thanks for your feedback on "Nu Finish" product. If this same product came in both Vehicle or Boat versions, what sub version would you pick? Hence my question... Is Auto Wax or Boat Wax better for trailers???

My 2 cents I think a boat wax would be more stable since most boats are fiberglass. On an aluminum skin camper an auto wax.

I have been using Collinite Wax Products for over 20 years on all of my vehicles, RV's, Classic cars, etc. and have never found any product that is as easy and provides the protection they do.

Their #845 Liquid Insulator Wax is the easiest wax to apply and remove and provides excellent protection. It is a wax only and not a cleaner. I wax my MH twice a year including the roof and it looks like new considering it is a 2003 model and sits out frequently during the summer. With a pint bottle I can wax my MH, Chevy Suburban, Honda Pilot, 63 GP and Toyota RAV4, as it goes on easy and does not require gobs of wax for a nice finish.

It was rated #1 by Power Boat Mag. for durability on fiberglass boats in their tests. I use it on my fiberglass roof and it gives great durability.
I use it on my 1963 Pontiac Grand Prix
with two stage paint that looks like a blue mirror with no typical swirls for a dark color. Many of my friends with Custom Cars use for the brilliant finish and protection, never dries to a powder, just waxy.

Truth be known they probably come out of the same barrel and put in a different container with some different color dye for aesthetics.
I think any Carnauba wax works just fine. I use the Meguiar’s Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax. I've not had my trailer long enough to give a report on how well it does on it but I have used it on a Corvette which is fiberglass and it did very good on it. It's easy to put on and take off and it seems to last a long time. It also doesn't leave any white residue as a lot of waxes do. If I remember correctly that's why I quit using Nu Finish was due to the white residue that it left on the rubber and plastic trim.
If you have a trailer that's got a lot of oxidation then you'd need to use a cleaner wax or polish on it first before you put the wax on it. Since my trailer is new and has a Gel-Coat it doesn't need a cleaner wax or polish just the Carnauba Wax to protect the finish did the trick.
All you need to add to any of these waxes is grease...Elbow Grease that is! Some just take a little more than others.
Any of you oldsters such as myself remember the old original Simonize Wax in the yellow can with the red letters? Now that was some wax that required a WHOLE LOT of elbow grease. If you were waxing a car with it and you applied it to an area to big then you just about couldn't get it off after it completely dried.
