We experienced the same thing towing our empty Nash home from the dealer. The Komforts I have seen are aluminum framed and aluminum sided, so they are very light. The Dodge suspension is very stiff.

As suggested, add some weight to the front of the fiver--the fresh water tank is usually near the front--and throw some firewood or other stuff in the truck bed. Very important to get the trailer sitting level. Good luck!

When we purchased our 5er this year, we went with a Pullrite hitch. A little more money than some, but worth it...no chucking as of yet.

I just drove our new 5ver 110 miles and notice the same "chucking". RV is factory loaded, we do not have any "stuff inside yet. I have a Gooseneck hitch. I experience it on a bumpy stretch of I-40 west of I-77. Once past that part of the road didn't notice it at all.

Just FYI...

Thanks

You might not have enough weight on your pin. If you load your 5er with most of your "stuff" behind the rear axle to reduce pin weight, the 5er will have a tendency to porpoise as you travel down the road.

Try moving things around to put more weight on the pin and see if that helps.

You might set your trailer brake so it comes on jest before your truck this will keep from happen if it is when you are stoping!I-40 will make it happen to most of the trailers out there. That is why I put a fifth air born on my trailer. === GOOD LUCK ===

On our new 5th wheel I had a Mor/Ryde pinbox added. Worth the money in my opinion.

I also ordered my fiver with the Mor-Ryde pinbox. It is worth the money.
