I have a 1999 Pleasure Way with one year old tires. What are the thoughts on filling tires with nitrogen air? Sheila

Why bother air is 80 per cent nitrogen and it really does not make a great deal of difference. It will be lost if you have a leak and you won't find it at all sources of air for your tires.

No real advantage when considering convenience.
Works great for airline tires and some race car tires.

Our Subaru has the Costco tire nitrogen thing. I my opinion it is a pain in the neck. Not readily available and can add extra expense.
Put good old school American air in them and get on down the road.

Because air is already 70+ percent nitrogen, the volumetric change due to temp change is nearly negligible unless your tires experience drastice temp change i.e. hot summers to very cold midwest winters.
Save your money and check 'em a couple times a season when your filling up with fuel.

Better still, put the money into a tire pressure monitoring system so you can easily check the pressure daily from inside your rig.

Hey, I like the last suggestion....I'll look into that. Having had a blow out on the I-10 at 70 mph, I want to feel safe on my wheels. Thanks everyone!

This has been addressed a bunch of times, and while some places want to charge you for this service, it's basically a waste of money!

If you can get it done for free.....it won't make much difference, so why not?

I doubt that you would notice any difference in the ride of the tires on a car, and on a trailer, you'd never know the difference.
