Not sure if this is an issue or not. But on our brand new Copper Canyon 273 with electric slideouts when we slide it out fully it stops with the usual clicking sound and it used to make the same sound when retracting the slide the first couple of times. Now when we slide it back in it no longer makes that clicking noise it just seems to stall out the electric motor. It appears to be fully retracted but I am nervous because it used to make that clicking sound. Is this anything to be concerned about?

My 2004 clicks on the way out, and on the way in, I hold the button till it sucks tight the body, I don't think I have heard it click on the way in.
Being a 2010 model, talk to the stealership and tell them of the situation, hopefully they could rectify (with their warranty), or put your mind at ease by saying it's normal.

If my batteries are low the slides don't click. Once I fire up the genny or reconnect to my trustworthy Ford they will click again.

The switch is the problem and I think it can be adjusted. Ours does this sometimes and the fix is to be ready and hit the switch button to stop it from clicking.

Sorry, that didn't come out right.

The slide goes out quietly, and then when it reaches full out, it clicks. On the way in, it goes in quietly until it sucks up to the sidewall of the trailer, no clicks.

Well I determined that my battery is fully charged, but the connections on the battery terminals were very loose and hopefully were the source of the problem. Can't try it till I get the trailer out of storage.

Dr

If that is a bed slide, I can tell you one guy I know that had one that operated that way and it wound up tearing up the mounts under the bed.

I think if your batts are fully up it should immediately go to clutch when it hits the full in adjustment.

Oh and the stealer said not to worry, dat is the way some of dem are. Well it took me a while to figure out how to adjust them and a long while waiting on the parts to come in since the inboard mount was bent all to he**.

good luck there and I think that if it used to do it it still should.
