Its totally silent. More than enough power for what we need. It works great.
So then the 200w of solar for my 2 12v batteries should be pretty good then....... I don't think that my system should be the yardstick to judge by... though it works really well for our uses.
350w/660 Ah = 53 watts per Ah.

The hardest part is creating an exhaust to vent out the side of the box and out the side of the garage- which would not be that hard. A hose clamp and some conduit or other metal would work perfect. Some people have a hard time understanding that "No generators during quiet time" means... wait for it... NO GENERATORS DURING QUIET TIME. There isn't a special rule for the quieter generators or the generators built into the trailer. They mean NO GENERATORS. PERIOD. The rule applies to everyone. No exceptions. Sorry, but you are dead wrong. All parks that have such rules have an exception written in the fine print: "does not apply to me". Look for it!

This isn't about breaking rules! It's about how to operate within the rules and not annoy your neighbor! See we are trying to come up with ways to run a TV inside the RV for extended times after the sleepy people nod off!!
I got hit with the do as I say not as I do thing at an RV park once. I got in late, not looking at my watch I grabbed my electric impact and started lowering my jacks.. Well I got yelled at (rightfully so) by a campsite across the road from me! Well I put it away and set up the trailer for the night.. Well my new "Friends" stayed up till almost 3am partying and yelling out answers to a trivia game!! kept the wife and I up with their crap! I made sure to make as much noise as I could the next morning after "Quiet Time" had lifted!!

If you cannot live with that rule, go someplace the rule is not in place. Don't try and make excuses or get around it with some kind of convoluted logic. Don't run your generator, how hard is that?

I find people like the two of you very interesting-
Let me ask you a question:
What sort of innovation would take place without people searching for solutions that meet the spirit of the "rule" in a new and enlightened way?
The "quiet hours rule" is based on the premise that some people find the noise a generator makes annoying at night. Great- no problem! I am all for respect! So, what is it that the two of you find so offensive about someone running a generator if their neighbor never knows, hears or is bothered by it in any way?
How do we know the tree made a sound when it fell over if no one was there to hear it?
Many of us have built in Onan generators- fairly quiet but not quiet enough as campers could possibly hear it. What we are talking about is a solution that no one can hear or is bothered by. So get over it!
The two of you remind of the type who pull into the fast lane and hold traffic up. You don't want to risk a ticket but you also don't want anyone else winning the race.

If you already have a large gen why don't you spend the price of the Honda gen on
4-6 volts, a small inverter and a couple of solar panels. That way even you don't have to listen to the gen all the time.
I used to run the gen while we were out riding in the afternoon for a couple of hrs. then my batteries are good for the night.
Now we have 800 watts of solar so I never run the gen at all.

I live within the rules, but I also understand the need for solutions outside the box. So relax and help out with valuable information, or step outside and have a smoke!

If you can't handle a night without a generator then just stay at a park where you can plug in.
