Our trailer is UVW 3800 and loaded 4600, 24 feet. It's a nice match for the Nissan powertrain. Runs around 2,000 RPM in OD at 65.
Weight won't affect you nearly as much as frontal area. Another thousand pounds would not concern me at all. A foot taller trailer I don't want.
TV: 2011 Ram 3500 6.7, 2010 Nissan Pathfinder 4.0, 2002 Jeep GC 4.7. Connected via Equal-i-zer to:
Surveyor SV-234, powered by twin Honda 2k.
Toys: Polaris Ranger 800, Tracker Grizzly 1548, Suzuki DR-Z400S, BMW R1200GSA

Welcome to the real world of camper shopping. So many options!
Your towing capacity is 6000lbs.
General guideline is tow no more than 80% of your capacity.
That number is 4800. If you find trailers with GVWR (max) of 5000 or less, you're really doing well.
Otherwise, add 1000lbs to the dry weight and see where you land. Most folks gear up 1000 lbs on their trailers.

You could've just taken the doors off the truck to save weight.

I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was going to blame you
The things that come to those that wait will be the crappy junk left by those that got there 1st.

So - we decided on a trail-lite 27QBSS AND traded our frontier in on an F-150 supercrew with the 5.4L v8. Even fully loaded the TT doesn't reach 80% of the towing capacity - and with the f-150's increased wheel base and an Equilizer hitch and Prodigy brake controller I think we will be sitting pretty. Thank you all SO MUCH for your advice. WE would have been in deep s@#t without it!
Cheers,

Sounds like you did the right thing and I honestly think you will be much much happier towing down the road with this set up!
Congrats and Happy Camping!!
