Shop, shop, shop. For us, half the fun of owning a trailer was shopping for it. You'll know when you've found the right one. For quite a while we thought we wanted an 18' KZ Coyote Lite, but then we absolutely fell in love when we came across our Heartland North Trail 21FBS. I wouldn't recommend it for full-timing by any means, though. You've got to go at least 26' to have a real living area.

I just brought a Holiday Rambler RD21. 21 foot long, no slide-out but the living space is just as much as our previous TT's (32ft & 25ft. with sides). The room comes from the u-shaped dinette in the front. Check out the floor plan and look at in person....you will be surprised. Oh by the way I have a wife, 2 kids (13,9), 2 small dogs. Private email me and I will tell you where I brought it and about how much I paid. It is a 2009 new at only 3500lbs or so.

We went around to the local dealers to get an idea of what we might want then kept an eye on Craigslist for a good deal to show up in the local and surrounding areas. One thing about these TT's is they depreciate FAST so you can sometimes pick up a 2yr old hardly used TT for 50% off what a new one costs. You just need to figure out what type you want first, then ask about the particular models you're finding. Good luck!!!

I would look into one of those FEMA trailers that our govt. was trying to dump, a little formaldehyde never hurt anyone!
