I take it you didn't complete the whole trip?
My parents had driven to AK & YT twice from Ontario before our trip in '05. I had spent a lot of time in northern Ontario, but northern BC makes that look crowded.
I think oldhiker makes some valid points about being prepared for the trip. Imagine if for some reason when he arrived possibly w/ a toad, Good Sam said no toads. Nothing mentioned in previous communications. Then what's a person to do? Leave the toad parked in Dawson Creek while you're up the highway?

Sounds like Good Sam should be more specific about details. Or maybe people should not take things for granted, and ask questions. Going on our seventh week here in Alaska in our little pup loving every minute of it. Sure some campgrounds, bathrooms, services, pads, are not first class. But life is not always fair. Some posters have a legitimate complaint, while others are spending valuable life time whining about trivial things. Take it in stride enjoy your life to the fullest. Today could be your last, enjoy it and quit whining. It seems to me the more some people have the less content they are. Oh darn seeing as how I do not have a built in bathroom I will have to end this now & take a walk in the rain. Now where did I put my raincoat, drat it is in the pickup oh well.

Thank you Oldhiker. We have considered an rv caravan and now we have questions to ask before signing up. I've asked on this forum about the pros and cons but most replies were about the social aspect or the cost.

Is this because you pay for the trip beforehand? Why couldn't they just upgrade it that you pay extra if you use 50A service?
