Most don't have reverse lights I don't know why it should be a requirement I would think some do but for the most part no.

Personally, I've never seen one with backup lights on the trailer other than a few "aftermarket home made" lights that some one rigged up. Good idea though.

Usually my DW acts as the backup lights.
I think on trailers they usually don't have backup lights because they know you will have someone back there directing as you backup.
Our 5th wheel came with backup lights more as a selling point than anything else. The backup lights only come on when I turn on the outside lights on the left side of the RV, So the backup lights are really used as convenience lights to make it easier to see around the RV at night.
They are not wired to come on when I put the TV in reverse. Only wired to the outside (left side) light switch.

Our Komfort TT came standard with back-up lights. Put the truck in reverse and they come on.
However, they are worthless to me as the driver for seeing in the dark when backing. But, I guess someone behind me could at least tell that I was backing up....
As others have said, my wife stands behind and directs.

I have back-up lights. I don't know whether they work, though, because I check the lights with the transmission in neutral.

Our '03 Sunline 5th wheel has factory installed LED tail lights including backup lights. I like having the back up lights because they let drivers that are paying attention know that I am backing up or plan to back up. They really don't assist the driver see any better when backing.
