I have a 1993 Coachmen Catalina 235RK fifth wheel. I cannot find specs anywhere online for this camper. Would anyone have any idea what the dry weight of this 5er might be?
I know I could take it to a scale and weigh it but i'm thinking about selling it anyway and I just want to get an idea of the weight I would be saving by going to something different like a hybrid. I'm guessing it weighs somewhere in the neighborhood of 6000 lbs unloaded. Does this sound close or am I way off?

Since "dry" weight is totally meaningless, hitch it up and go to the scales. No one can tell you for certain exactly how much YOUR Fiver will weigh.

I understand that but I was just hoping someone would have the specs from the factory on this rig so I can compare apples to apples when looking at new campers.

Try looking it up in the NADA guides under rv etc. -- www.nadaguides.com - You can plug in your trailer with all its options and find out value. Also has dry weight.

THe cost is about $6 - $8 to have your camper weighed. Every camper is different as dry weight is the camper stripped down with nothing added...then they add air conditioning, insulated windows, satellite dish, television and all the other accessories. My dry weight was listed as 10,500 and when I bought it I took it to a scale and it weighed 11,400....why guess, spend a couple of bucks.

I just googled your 5th wheel and found one that a private individual has for sale, and it stated 5422lbs. dry.

You can also look on the outside for a tag with the weights. Most campers also have a sticker in a kitchen cabinet that state the empty(meaningless) and GVWR weights. But like others have said, a scale is your best bet.

Sounds close to our 25 ft. Jayco with no slides and it has an unloaded wt. of about 5,300 lbs. and a slide would add 500-700 lbs. So, I estimate about 6500 loaded for mine.

If you need the numbers to go shopping, use the GVWR of the RV. "Stuff" will expand to fill all available space in the RV and it will quickly weigh GVWR.
