Dealer told me since I was 3 hours from them I could contact a tire shop locally and see if they could handl the warranty. I told the dealer that I should not have to deal with this since it is a NEW unit and had it only 7 days. I will try the local shop...but I do not know.

Tire warranty issues is generally left up to a tire manufacture/dealer of that brand unless the RV dealer steps up with a fix just for customer satisfaction.

Instead of driving 3 hrs away and 3 hrs back, why not let a tire dealer near you fix you up.

Here is the email messeage the folks at TV Private Brands sent me:

"Thank you for sending the information. We carry the Solid Trac Premium trailer tire in that size. I have attached a picture for your reference. If you prefer to purchase another brand then we can reimburse you up to $80.00 per tire plus up to $20.00 for mounting and balancing per tire. If you want us to ship our tires to you please give the physical address, thanks."

Anyone know about this Solid Trac Premium tire? I think my best bet is to buy the Maxxis brand and have them reimburse me. Ya'll agree?

Take the money and run, and buy some real tires…

What size tire are we talking about anyway…

I have Duro tires on my 2008 Jayco, mine are made in china I do believe. Even thou my Jayco is out of warranty by a few days Jayco and the dealer has steped up to the plate to replace all 5 of them. I pick the trailer up today.

Hopefully your dealer will help you out.

Good Luck

If the dealer replaced your tires with new Duros he didn't do you any favors. I had Duros on my trailer and they are junk.

That was my first thougt to, but being I really only pull about 60miles at a shot I will give them a second chance. So in a year if they are looking bad I will have no issues in slamming them on here. I do wish I could have gone with the Marthons but they dont make my size time in the load ratting that I need.

do NOT put any tire dressing on your trailer tires unless it is specifically NOT made with petroleum distallates as an ingredient---lesson learned from having to replace 4 trailer tires this year after getting TT out of winter storage....

Just got new Maxxis put on at a cost of $100 per tire. Now waiting to be reimbursted from the company. Date on the Towmax tires was 06/06...3 year old tires put on a new TT by Holiday Rambler.

I spent money on other tires rather than even bother with another set of Duros. Mine were 2yrs old, well maintained and had maybe 1200 miles on them and all had cracks. My tire shop guy was stunned when he saw them. Wound up with a nice set of radials and got them balanced. They run better than the Duros ever did.

I bought a 2008 new from the dealer in 2009. After two massive blowouts last weekend I learned there is a date code on all tires. It turns out my 2008 trailer had tires made in 2006.
