And faith. And trust. And love. Take it one day at a time, making that day the best it can be. Take comfort in the Word. Try to keep a sense of humor. Be good to yourself. The one day at a time thing helped us so much when our son was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. The surgery, the chemo, the side effects, the waiting, the good days and the bad days. He is now in remission. There is life beyond cancer, but the gift is when you find that place within yourself that celebrates life with cancer. Our hearts go out to you both, and we lift you up to the Lord for His healing mercies. B. The oncologist thinks the chemo she has been taking is not working... the tumor has grown... We are going to a radiation specialist tomorrow to explore the option to "cook" the cancer. There are other chemo options, but the DR thinks it's about a 15% chance of doing anything. Surgery? not sure that it will get any net benefit... God? He is our hope, and when the medical community has nothing to offer, He is then given all the glory for restoration and healing. Your post has been a reminder to me, I've been feeling a bit sorry for myself (leaking rv roof, had to put down cat, and on & on) - you know - just life stuff - then I read about your wife's battle, I think about you and your kids - puts my stuff into perspective- for that I thank you. Take care of yourself, so you can continue being there for your wife and kids. I had treatment with Tomotherapy which can concentrate the radiation on the tumor or tumors with less destruction of adjacent tissue. The University of Minnesota Fairview has Tomotherapy. I had my treatment in Scottsdale, AZ to take advantage of the nicer weather in February. The radiation oncologist I went to Dr Grado practices in both Minnesota and Arizona.
