I am replacing a set of four Trojan T105 batteries and the metal lugs that sit on the top of the battery edges have self destructed. This is the metal angle plate about 2 inches long that has a hole on the end for a threaded rod and the other end goes under a plastic nub on top of the battery.

Anyone know where a person can buy these parts? My local RV supplier and Camping world had no idea.

Thanks for the help.

I would try an auto parts store.

Any metal fabrication shop should be able to duplicate them. Give them the measurements or the old ones to use as a template.

Thanks for the replies. Auto parts stores and Walmart don't carry this part. I did a google search and none of the search results reveal the part I need. I was hoping someone had actually purchased the parts I need and knew where to buy them. This can't be the only coach that uses them. I have emailed the battery manufacturer to see if the know of a source.

Hi,

I'd just use bungee cords.

make life sinple: i fabricated my hold down with all thread rod and nuts and covered it with tygon plastic tubbing . the brackets were fabricated from old discarded angle iron pieces . if you can use a hack saw and a drill. you can do this. any metal mounted close to battery terminals must be insulated . tygon workd.. should you make a very quick stop or worse your batteries will shift a bit so make sure u insulate with thickish tubbing. all brackets and threaded rods.

one cross member attached to all thread down to the decking plate... secure with double nuts tightly. grease threaded assembly so any future repairs or battery removal will be easier.

i fabricated mine for less than $5 for two golf cart batteries plus one group 24

when u play in the sand .... you can get stuck
