Trying to save the $800 from a fully-automatic one. Reviews suggest it's solid, anyone know anything about it?

It all depends on what you wanna do with it. It won't do HD.. Other than that it's just a regular old dish. They just run.

They work great. Very easy to locate satellites.

Easy to use if you understand the concepts of elevation and directions for sats. Had one for eight years on previous coach an could usually find a sat faster than my new push button dish that was already installed. Save the $$$.

Have it, love it. Single satellite access and no HD possible.

It can be used for HD if you point the dish at the satellite that cares HD programming.

It depends on how you watch TV. For us, my programs are on 119, the wife's programs are on 110 and we both like HD. So we just installed the Traveler with all 3 LNBs. We now use the MH more, so the single LNB dish was becoming obsolete for us.

Guys....this is conflicting information. The head tech at the RV shop told me he was not happy with the crank-up Winegard, he said the linkage had too much play and if the wind blows the picture is lost. His suggestion was to either go with the Kingdome or just get a portable. I think I'll just pop that little thing up on top of the RV and run the cable into the RF-in where you'd plug into at a RV-park. The kids will mostly watch stuff from the DVR and for those occassions when we want live-feed Satellite, I can just set-up the dishy.
Thanks

The head tech would rather sell you a dish for 3 - 4x the cost of the crank-up...

I have to wonder why you asked people's opinions - and got them from actual users - and then intimate that we don't know what we are doing because a guy who wants to sell you an expensive one makes a claim.
I suggest you pony up the $$$ for the expensive model or you will always be wondering. Of course you will have a lot of time to wonder while you wait for the expensive one to lock on to a bird!
