I feel like a real dumb a$$. Went through my hookup routine, pulled out of storage and I hear a bang going over the driveway bump. Some nice people on the road mention the passenger-side landing gear is down. I look and it's bent back. Evidently I put one side up and not the other. Finally get it all dis-assembled and find the outer sleeve is bent, and the inner sliding adjustable sleeve is OK.
Has anyone ever replaced just one leg? I can't seem to find any replacement parts. I also can't find the manufacturer other than "Made in China". It's on a Jayco and I assume it's Atwood. I got the part number on the motor and don't get any hits on that.
From what I see on the Internet, they all look like the complete assembly (two legs and cross bar) need to be purchased. I haven't talked with an RV repair facility yet.

Appreciate any information you might have for this dummy. Thanks a lot.

I had a simuliar problem and had to replace both legs. I could not find anyplace that would sell only one. I have come up with some lists of used RV parts dealers.

Call Jayco they should be able to help you with parts and information. When one of my legs would not work NuWa service had the parts I needed and gave me some pointers on changing the leg out.

A Story:

We stopped at the entrance station to pay. Son's job was to walk the dog. Paid, pulled away, and someone hollered "You have a leg down!!" Parking lot was flat, no damage done. Son had dropped landing leg down to tie dog's leash to it; thankfully he remembered to unleash the dog before we left, although not to raise landing leg.

I look under trailer each and every time I pull off for obstructions of any sort. Almost always, as long as I remember to... Stuff happens.

Haven't done it yet, but could be me next time! I use a mental check list that includes 2 walk-arounds prior to pulling away with the camper. Both walk arounds include checking windows, awning, doors, spare, tank valves, visual tire inspection and under the camper checks.

Been there done that. I took it to Camping world to have mine fixed. They got the parts direct from Jayco.Had to replace the entire jack though.

The bolts holding the pin came loose and fell off allowing the leg to drop right before a speed bump..

Thanks for the replies. Lesson learned. I have a mental checklist as well, but if anything interrupts (dogs, kids, DW) during that check, that's where I get into trouble. I guess I should just start over when that happens.
