I'll place my money on everyone who filled out one of those "applications" at the RV show actually won...you are not the only one...

As others have said...YOU WIN (supposedly) A MEMBERSHIP YET HAVE TO PAY TO FIRST TO GET YOUR WINNINGS???

Walk away...

Do a bit more checking. We looked at the web site. It may not be a bad deal if it fits your lifestyle.. Do not jump to conclusions.

I get a call yesterday and it seems I won a lifetime membership to camperworld. It seems I still pay $299.00 a year. I entered this contest at a big rv show in Utah several weeks ago. The caller said the membership is worth $3000.00. I have no rv but am thinking of getting one soon. I have thought of retirement in a 5th wheel but haven't decided yet. Is this membership worth a dang? It seems that it is six or seven campgrounds in Utah. They do look nice online. They list for around $50.00 a night for non members. Does this take in more states? Is this just a scam? It might be a good deal if you use it. Does anyone know anything about camper world? We are invited to an orientation next week in Utah. It's on a weeknight and kind of a long trip. I wonder if it is worth going to? Does anyone own one of these and is there an advantage? One of the reasons I don't own a bigger camper yet is the expense of camping, storage and maintenance ETC. Thanks all. Comments would be appreciated.
Bob

I think you will find that is a maintenance fee. We pay about $280 in our camping club. The difference is when we became seasonals our campground takes it off our seasonal site charge. Do some investigating. It might not be a bad deal, if you get into camping and use the membership, otherwise you will be throwing money away.

you have to work that out for your personal needs. It would not work at all for me.

Now I wonder, do you think you are the only winner?

I'd be concerned about this whole thing. How much info did you give them already. What did they ask for when they called you? Nothings free in this world and only little can be won for real. If they called you and said you won! Now pay me $300.00. It's not real. Or highly unlikely. Like the people that send me e-mails that want me to accept a million dollars from where ever and put it in my account.
There is a ton of good criminals today and you need to be careful. Name, address, phone, e-mail, plus whatever else was on the card at the RV show, is probably more than they should have already. Call them back and check them out. It would be great if you really won some kind of benefit but it sounds a little funny to me.
Good Luck

One other thing to think about - a "lifetime" membersip?

Ask any of the folks who've tried to cancel their Thousand Trails memberships. They simply ignore your wishes & continue to bill you forever.

I would agree. To each their own but we like to go places we have never been before.

Do your own homework. No one here knows what then real deal is. Folks do win things at RV shows . We have worked enough of them to know that. Some of the information that organizations are looking for when you fill out a "contest" form. Demographics.. Where is the show drawing from. Same reason a store will ask for your zip code. Yes a mailing list for future mailings and a idea of how many folks were at the booth @ 80% of folks who see a contest form will fill it out. If a prize is offered there must be a winner... Check it out.

Although..If you don't have a camper?????''Campground memberships do not fit our mode of RV'ing.
