On August 30, 2009 my wife and I purchased a 2010 Fleetwood Jamboree class C 31 foot bunk house motor home with two slide outs. Everytime we took the motor home out to the desert for camping we found water on our kitchen and front room floor. Water was found to be gushing from the fresh water vent tube into our unit. Water was also pouring down the outside wall of the motor home under the fill hose. The authorized repair facility where we took to unit for repair said there is no fix for the problem according to Fleetwood. The service advisor said Fleetwood told him that the rigs are not designed to carry anymore than a third of a tank of fresh water in the thirty gallon tank while in transit. At this point we cannot use out rig for dry camping in the desert unless we have a fresh water source available when we arrive. And if we have a fresh water source why would we need an on board 30 gallon water tank which we can utilize except of course while we are not moving. I have owned two motor homes and a travel trailer and never had such a problem.

Maybe some type of rubber plug that is tapered for the fresh water fill tube and then adding an extension to the vent tube would work or possibly just a longer vent tube that can be routed outside the coach ?

Someone is full of brown stuff!
Find another dealer and call Fleetwood directly.
The vent tube should be sealed up close to the water fill location. The vent tube then has a screen or plug to prevent kicking water out.

Time to find a new repair shop and some phone calls yourself to Fleetwood. I've never heard of such a load of bull. The fresh water tank is there just for that, to carry and store a Tank of water not a 1/3.

I think someone is blowing smoke. I would take the mounting screws out of the filler cover and get in there and find the loose hose clamp.

I'll one thing Fleetwood isn't very friendly I call because I have a slide and wanted to read about it but the book which came with my Jamboree had nothing to say about my slide not even there was one when I asked the people about it they tell me 1 book fits all Really what about the slide she then tell me to call when I have a Question yea right took me a hour to get that far. As far as the water tank I can fill it full If I need to with no loss of any water But I chose not to with the extra weight got to use more fuel plus my weight was right up to max I would try another service company. By the was my coach is a 99 Fleetwood 29 foot with a slide with a fresh waster tank of 40 gals.

Never heard of that happening on any RV. Also - even if water was sloshing out the vent tube - why would that cause water to get inside the RV - should just run down the outside of the rig? Agree with others - try another shop or call Fleetwood - suspect the original shop did not want to work on your rig (maybe fallout over Fleetwood bankruptcy?)

With a full tank, some water has always sloshed out the filler tube and/or vent down the side of our '04 Fleetwood 26Q. I ignore it. No water should come inside the rig though. The "customer support" girls seem to be told to deflect all requests for information to a dealer service department, other than sending electrical circuit diagrams upon request. If you get insistent, the gal may turn you over to somebody with some technical knowledge. You don't have to go to the original uncooperative selling dealer if you clear it with Fleetwood. It's a relief when your housebox is out of warranty and you find a good mobile RV repair service to fix things that you can't fix.

Bordercollie is wrong about having to get permission from Fleetwood to change dealers for service. In CA you can go to any authorized dealer for service and warranty work. In fact you can change the oil and filter on a new vehicle yourself without voiding the warranty, just keep the receipts for the filter and oil you purchase.
