Hi I grew up camping and have always dreamed of getting married in the woods at a campground.
I love the simple beauty of nature and think a campground could really be the perfect way to bring it into my wedding.
Here is what I am looking for:
1.I live in the poconos and was looking for a campground within 2 hrs in ny, nj, or pa.
2. I have 200 guests.
3. I want something with great views and or water.
4. I want a place that would be somewhat wooded and private.
5. I would prefer a campground that isnt too crowded in the fall.
6. possibly has pavillions, open fields, and walking trails.
7.I prefer no state campgrounds as most of them do not allow alcohol.
Thank you so much for any help.

Well, I can't help you with the Poconos, but my daughter had a wonderful wedding in Glacier National Park in Montana. No problems with wine & beer, but we only had about 60 attending.

We got married and had our reception at
Twin Grove Campground.. We had 2 RV sites and about a dozen cabins rented out. Food was excellent, they do the catering right there. It's about 2 hours from the Poconos.
Have to add...they have pavilions, and all the kids at the reception loved it because there is so much to do just outside the door to the lodge, which is where our reception was.

TRIPLE BROOK CG
We camped here for 6 nights last summer and had a great time. They had a large tent set up by the pond across the street from the CG. That Saturday they had a wedding and reception right there. There had to be well over a hundred people there, all having a nice time .This place is by Hope NJ and not far from you. The new CG owners are very nice. Check out our pics of CG and most of all CONGRATULATIONS
Don't like the view?? Then change it and Go Camping Our pics

wooded, private, great views are lacking at this campground. It does have the cabins & recreation area. Not sure i'd agree on the food either. We live 20 mins from here & have camped often. Probably won't be back on our list for a few years.
You didn't say when you were getting married, but Shangri-La has nice cabins, it's got a in the woods feel more than twin grove, has 2 ponds, large flat area that they might allow you to put tents on. Views?? not so much but it's a smaller campground.
