I had a Carlonia Carport built back in Oct of last year. It is 41L X 12H at the side wall x 12W I wish I would have gone with 13H side walls and a little wider. I had it closed in on both sides and both ends open. When I had it built I had my 35ft Work and Play with no slides and it fit perfectly. My new Fuzion fits but I cannot put out the slides and I only have about 4 inches of clearence at the top outside walls of the trailer. Plenty of room in the peak area so I just have to be real straight when I back in. I went with the extra snow load rateing and the extra wind rated anchors. I am real happy with the quality just wish I had went bigger.

We ended up not getting one but instead of a metal carport look at building a carport using 6x6 treated post with a metal trusses and metal roofing. It will handle the weather better especially snow and wind. It is much more sturdy as well and the cost is not much different.

Terribly curious Carolina Cruiser - Did you mean to say that a wooden post is going to handle the weather and wind better, and is more sturdy, than a steel one?

Hi Folks,
Am getting ready to have a Metal Carport installed on my property for my 5er. and am looking for recommendations from those of you who have a metal carport and may have used different manufacturers.
If you could discuss the pros/cons of the type you have, it would be greatly appreciated and helpful. Price is also an object obviously, but if you wish not to divulge your cost....I can always find it myself when contacting each company with my particular measurements, etc.
Thanks so much in advance for any help,

Enjoy the journey......

I used Steel structures America but I don't think they service your area. These "pole building" companies know the snow loads as mine is built to 100 lb snow load. But I still had to clear the roof last year at 3' thick. Can't explain why but last year the snow would not shed. You might think about a enclosed structure for more weather protection. I think without digging through the files this one cost $12k. Our last 5er set outside and looked so aged in 3 years. This one still looks good as new. The building is 40x16 with a 14' roll up door. As everyone knows, wish I made it bigger with 50' but the 16' is fine for getting around with the slides extended.
