I am thinking about getting a wireless camera system for the back of my fifth wheel but am not sure if it will work.
My camper is 37ft in length plus add the length of my F-250.
Anybody had a similar idea???

I just purchased one made by Masterlock. I haven't had a chance to try it yet. I spoke with a tech at masterlock and they said my trailer 27' 5W would not be a problem. It gets power for the camera from the trailer lights and it can be mounted with a magnetic base or in the trailer hitch receiver. I found it on E-trailer.com.

That one is for the truck I think the OP wanted one to go at the rear of his 5th wheel but I could be wrong.

Here's a description, with pictures, of my rear-view camera set up. This is the camera itself.

Hope this helps.

If you are worried about the signal from the back of the trailer all the way to your truck, my fiver came with the camera from the factory and the camera is mounted on the back but wires run all the way to the nose of the trailer and thats where the transmitter is. The system is 12vdc and is powered by the seven pin wiring harness connected to the truck. On mine, you actually have to turn on the running lights for it to work. Thats the circuit it gets its power from so if you don't plan on wiring that way and instead get power from the camper battery, you should put in a switch to kill power when not in use so you don't drain your battery.
