) I love state parks with at least electric hook ups ... then I'm set. There are some beautiful ones in NY that do have those depending on the area you want to visit - not as many it seems in the Adirondacks but if you ever want to travel a different direction look into Four Mile Creek State park near Niagara Falls and Letchworth State Park which is not too far from Rochester. Gorgeous parks with electric hook ups

Cooperstown KOA is a really nice campground also. They are actually about 20 minutes from Cooperstown on a back road, nice and quiet but easy to get too. If you want to stay in Lake George would recommend Ledgeview RV Park.

we went to Blue Mountain Lake- a beautiful area, which also has the Adirondack Museum- one of the two best museums I have EVER seen. Lots of stuff for adults and kids there. We stayed at Lake Durant, but there was no hookup.
