The power supply to my Toshiba A135-S4527 died today, is there someplace I can buy a emo replacement without having but it from Toshiba?

SCVJeff: That was great! A useful reply that was also a teaching tool. How did you do that?

To the OP: I have two Toshiba laptops and three Toshiba power supplies. The laptops are still running but only one power supply is still working?

I'm using a "Fellowes SmartAdapter" power supply that I got at an office supply store. I also have a Targus 12v power supply. You can buy power supplies online and anywhere computers are sold.

search amazon for the model number of the power supplies... There are a lot of inexpensive options out there. I recently bought an HP power supply for about $15...

There are a few companies that make "Universal" power supplies. Any decent computer store will have them.. They start at around fifty bucks some are both AC (120 or 240 volt 50 or 60 HZ) and 12vdc.. That is a truly "Universal" supply as it not only works with most any computer (They have an assortment of tips, (power plugs for the comptuer) you pick the one matching your rig) they work with both US and Overseas power or the car battery.

Targus is one such company that makes them.. I don't know the others

Micro Center (I think it's www.microcenter.com) sells a good selection of them, Since Comp-USA went to whatever they were sold to Micro Center is about the best computer specality store out there.. I shop one of their brick & Mortar places.
