I have been trying to get an Armoire for our's and Roadtrek told me that most will not fit ours. We have a 2006 190 Versatile, and they said only 2003-2006 will work. Also, they are perminate on our year. Supposidly on 2007 and later models they are removable. We did purchase ours with the removable wardrobe, which sits in the seat behind the driver, but the armoire, which is behind the passenger seat, is perminate on 2006 models when installed. If you have an 07, you should be able to do it no problem.

We just put one in our 2006 210. The one that is available now fits over the box that the seat sits on. I didn't like the extra space it took up and ordered from Roadtrek the armoire that was available for 2007 and earlier which saves about 6" of space when coming into the unit....
Love ours.

We have a 2001 200. Bought it used. It already had the armoire installed on the passenger seat behind the driver. It is wonderful. Lots of space to hang stuff and plenty of room on the bottom. We do not plan on removing it. There is a Route 66 dealer in Winter Haven, FL where you can order road trek parts. The name escapes me at the moment. However, I did contact Road Trek and they DO NOT sell directly to the customer, however, they will tell you what dealer to order parts from.

Anyone know if a modern removable model is available, for the street side on '98 200 V?
I did check out the links here. Just thought someone here might have knowledge of one.

By "street side" you're talking about behind the drivers seat? If so, removable wardrobes were available were availble for a '98. Roadtrek calls the removable unit on the street side (drivers side) a wardrobe.
Roadtrek calls the unit on the curbside (passenger side) an armoire. Thru the 90's and midway thru the '00's the armoire on the curbside was a permanent install at the factory option. The later half of the '00's the armoire on the curbside was made removable also.

Thanks for clarifying . . .

For those that don't want to pay the big bucks and also want a dresser that's light (I'm not getting younger) and easy to place/remove, this might be an option. We bought this dresser at Home Depot (now available at Walmart) for $49: It was priceless on our cross country trip this past summer.

It replaces the 2nd row driver's side seat (done in 10 minutes) in our Versatile and I imagine it would work nicely as well in the passenger's side in the Popular. My DW put a shoe organizer behind it below the window for all the shoes. This is not for everyone but my motto is to keep things simple and light in our B. Remember that added weight is a concern in all RV's including B's. It matches our interior leather/fabrics, It is incredibly light while being sturdy and, you can't beat the price.

How did you secure it? Does it cover the window?

Bob Karr wrote: How did you secure it? Does it cover the window? The Sterilite 4 Drawer Storage cabinet does not cover the whole window. It covers a bit of the screened lower part. The cabinet is not right up against it so there is some air flow there. The upper part of the window is free & allows adequate light in. The measurements (rounded out) are:
26" W X 19" D X 35" H. Here's a link to one advertised at Target for $59. In my local Walmart it is $49.
We use a non-slip rubber sheet to put items on top of the dresser. It adds another source of storage - Kinda like a counter top. The RT dining table fits in its usual place too by turning it to a certain direction. That was important to me that we could still use the "kitchen" table.
To secure the dresser to the seat base:: (Believe me, if I can do this, anyone can.)
1. Pull the RT drawer out of the base so you can reach in and loosen the bolts/wingnuts so you can take out the seat. (The first time is a pain with some hard reaching and searching). Remove the RT seat.
2. I added 2 steel strappings (sturdy but somewhat bendable) about 1 inch by 5 inches that have holes all along the strapping. (See the next step)
3. Take the drawers out of the plastic dresser (Sterilite) and place the dresser on the base so that the drawers would be facing the aisle. This will allow adequate room to work on securing the dresser to the base.
4. I added another 2 bolts/wing nuts (so I have 4 in all) to use the strapping to secure the base of the cabinet to the factory seat base drawer. You can add more if needed in your case.
5. Also, I added a 2 inch Velcro strip on the side of the cabinet to secure it against the wood wall. It is not visible once you push the dresser against the Velcro.
The cabinet didn't budge throughout our 7 week 11,000 mile trip last summer. BTW, we did add 2-3 inch Velcro strips to each drawer on one side so that they would not pop out during travel as they tended to do so. Using the Velcro solved that problem.
I hope this helps. I tried to keep this simple and short. This is one of my weaknesses. I tend to go on and on... so... I'm going to stop now...
