Boy, we could use some of that in Vegas

You are right! We are in the far north area of Las Vegas and the wind has been terrible too.

Yep...it's beautiful in the RGV!! Looks like we'll have to cram an entire winter into the next 4-5 weeks!

Oh well, there's always next year...

Another thing that is clearly evident is the sweet smell of blossoms . My sniffer is not what it use to be , but the DW can smell the blossoms . It maybe from some orange trees that we noticed had flowers on them . Maybe they are grapefruit trees . I'm sure some authority can correct me. All this reminds me of the sweet smell of Lilac bushes back home and the urge to get back there after 5 months away.

Funny you brought up lilac blooms. In Duluth that doesn't happen till June. Old man Lake Superior keeps things pretty cool for a long time up there. I bet the locals would love to smell those orange blossoms right about now.

The weather here in the lower RGV might be getting better, but we still have those 20+ mph winds to deal with today. Too much surf to fish for this novice, and you would get sand blasted if you laid out on the beach.

We would like to start heading back north right now, not because of the length of time in the MH (or even the miserable weather we had this winter) but just because I'm getting the itch to see something new.

We're also missing the kids/grand kids. Would be fun to see them all swimming in the lake, going for pontoon boat rides, and laughing around a late night MN campfire. Starting to sound like being a snowbird is a good lifestyle

Most likely orange blossoms that smell so good. Finally getting some sun and more normal temps. Coldest winter in a decade or so and with some sewer installion in our area it has been a mess. Dust if it is dry and mud if it is wet. Slowest and worst construction company I have ever been around and that is a lot. At least two months behind and more damage to private property than necessary. But it is warmer than the north country.
