I didn't see the page listing the accessories, thought everything would be in the box.

I do thank the few of you who offered some awareness in suspecting my tone is what is drawing the negative responses. I can understand that as I started this thread right after I hung up the phone with Winegard. While I was not aggressive with the rep himself, a nice guy named Tom, I did tell him I felt strongly about being hijacked for $50 on an open ended wire harness with a plastic 4 pin connector on the end that IMO should have been included. I asked his manager who was out to give me a call. It is probably the manager not calling me, rather just sending me a "No" message through Tom, that ignited my keyboard. Live and learn.

I am going to jump on this bus. Wineguard could easily make this a $1600.00 antenna and include the the lowering kit. I myself am happy with my $30.00 dish and $40.00 stand and it does not require me to walk around and check to see if I lowered it. I hear it scraping along the ground if I drive off with it set up.

I think all of us that have aviation backgrounds do a final walk around as second nature. Is the best insurance you have.

Yup, it's second nature.

The instructors in Navy Aircraft Familiarization School and Aviation Mechanical Fundamentals School called it "situational awareness" and "attention to detail", and drilled it into us until it became as natural as tieing shoes!
