We will be leaving the RGV near the end of March. We would like to stop in San Antonio for a few days to see the Riverwalk, Alamo, etc.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a campground with full hook ups?

Is there anything else we should NOT miss seeing while in San Antonio?

Stay at Traveller's World RV Park on South Roosevelt. There are several missions near there that should be seen. Great food at Don Pedro's, Foccacia, & Mi Tierra. Riverwalk and Market Square are great for shopping, food, libations.

If you are inclined in that area, be sure and take the Mission Tour. If you like zoos, it doesnt get much better than SA. I recommend either the KOA (omg) or the two up the street and ride the bus to the riverwalk and alamo.

Go tour the old spanish missions that are in and around San Antonio. They are REALLY neat to see.

There is so much to do in the area that a few days will only put a dent into what to see. Have fun it's a great area to visit.

If you're in to shopping, the SAS store (San Antonio Shoemakers) is cool. They make all their shoes right there. Nice leather shoes and purses - shoes for men, women & children. It is a fun, fun store.

Give the "tip top" cafe a try. Fantastic food featured in dinners and dives TV show. Don't have the address but it's on West Fredrichberg road.

If you love German food, there is a neat resturant on Callahan and Babcock near Look 410 and Callahan. It is great and reasonable in price. the parking lot is not large enough for a RV, but there are some parking lots nearby.

For the SAS store, look in the phone book for the Outlet store. The shoes have small defects on them (maybe a scratch) and cannot be sold for full price.
