If Supreme Court Justice Clearance Thomas says overnighting in Wal Mart is good enough for him then I guess it is good enough for me.I would think that he can afford to pay the price for a camp ground. Yes,I can afford to stay in a camp ground, but, when all I want is a couple hours sleep I agree, why pay someone just to sleep and not have any need to use any facilities. Every Wal Mart I have stayed in usually had security. When I was an over the road truck driver I slept many nights in a Wal Mart lot and was glad it was available. Now as an RV'er I still enjoy the hospitality they provide.

When I first looked at this yesterday I thought great more people of Walmart (humor). Then I come back today 5 pages and counting, mention the word banned and some people come unglued. I could be mistaken but seriously some of you need to lighten up. I believe this was a little tongue in cheek (humor) Yes it has been a long cold winter. Hang in there spring is coming, of course it has been banned in some parts of the country.

I know Justice Thomas has a Class A MH, but I've never read him being quoted as you claim........

Nobody's business either, where I am.
Couldn't say it any better What's wrong with what they were doing? I would rather see them taking a rest like that than being out on the road needing some rest.

I think the op intended this post to be humorous...
The pic he posted & the one I posted shows a tad more than just overnighting at a Wal-mart. So in no way should those who do over night(to include myself) in a parking lot, & follow the unwritten etiquette rules of doing so, be offended by any picture posted. Those barking at others on this thread are also missing the point...lighten up a little...
With my Class A pic I was amazed how close the RV was parked to the actual building...I figured his door was open because he was blaring his radio while laying out...so two no-no's right there. The sun bathing speaks for itself...lol.
But the main rule being broke is having a Class A while sportin' a mullet....now, I thought that was illegal...lol.

I'm sure this is a rumour started when he promoted the Wal*Mart Camp Set ($99.59 on sale). We had one and it included an inflatable Wal*Mart sign, a roll-up plastic parking lot and a cardboard cut-out of the Chief Justice dressed as a door greeter. There is also a CD that plays the sounds of the sweeper, delivery trucks and boy racers randomly during the night.

OK, that's definitely the funniest post I have read thus far in a WalMart thread.
I continue to be amused by the "high rollers" here who say they'll never stay in a Walmart parking lot because it's somehow below their standards. Right... and I'm betting that most of these folks are making payments on their RV and TV, too.
I don't see why people have to pass judgment on this, and do it so passionately. Who cares!? Remember, this is the USA, we are free... to decide where to stay, where not to stay, etc. Some of you seem to want federal legislation mandating we can ONLY stay in an approved CG? Heck, maybe we ought to throw that into the health care bill too!

Why can't people just mind their own business. If people want to park at Walmart, it is none of anyone's business and whatever they want to do while there is none of anyone's business.
This shouldn't have any personal effect on anyone or their lifestyle.
Whoever owns the parking lot has the say. No one else.
Can't we all just get along?

I know Justice Thomas has a Class A MH, but I've never read him being quoted as you claim........ When 60 minutes did a show on Justice Thomas it was stated by 60 Minutes as the reason they were not allowed to show the outside of his RV. Link is HERE.
