We have an 07 Pace Arrow. Is it advisable to put down the levelers before extending the slide outs? I cannot find any info in the manual.

The more common is to level first then extend but that doesn't apply to everyone. Monaco is one where it is the opposite.
That said, I think Fleetwood is level first then extend.

Level first, then stabilize, then extend the slides. You do NOT want to jack a slide out and jamb it simply because you were not level.

I totally agree.
This is the way we have always done it, the way our manual suggests we do it, and the way that common sense dictates that you OUGHT to do it.

I've always leveled first so there won't be a twist in the framework then slides out. Slides in then retract levelers when leaving.

My slides are made by Lippert, and their slide-out manual says to have the coach level and stabilized before moving the slides.

With my prior coach (which had leveling rams) the dealer/salesman told me to put the slides out first and then level. His rationale was that extended slides would change the balance. I thought that procedure sometimes caused binding of the slide mechanism so I started leveling first and it worked better. My current coach levels off of the air bags and I have always leveled first.

You need to find a manual for your unit; even different models within the same brand can have different instructions.
I have a Holoday Rambler Admiral (Monaco) and my manual states (in bold print) to extend the slide before putting down the leveling jacks. They want the slide to move while still on the chassis suspension.
