Hi, all. We're planning a trip South this spring. Would love to see the major sights in Atlanta, like Aquarium, Zoo, CNN, & Coca Cola, but can't figure out if there's any parking lot that the height of the B (9"4") will fit into. Has anyone parked in the Zoo lot and taken bus up to the other 3 attractions? Don't really like that idea because we'll be leaving 2 dogs in van and don't know what average temp is in April in Atlanta. Any public transport or car rentals from Stone Mountain campground? Thanks for any info.

What we've done, on occasion, is to stop at the airport (or similar) as we arrive in town, rent a small car, DW follows me to where we've booked a spot, we set up the B, use the rented car for the few days we're there, and drop it where we rented it on our way out of town.
In that case we've got shore power for the critter's comfort (heat or AC), we think they're safer in our B at the campground than in a commercial parking lot, and we don't have to "set up" and "strike" to move around.
We usually only do it this way if we're two nights or more in a given urban area campground. Remote spots, we take a motorcycle with us on/in a trailer.
Booking a rental car in advance usually allows promotional rates.
Enjoy Atlanta.
Cheers.

You can look at your attractions in Google Earth. Then try to locate a nearby parking lot (note 'lot', not garage ). Use the 'Street View' feature to check for overhead obstacles at the entry. I haven't been to the Atlanta Aquarium, but did do a little research. IIRC, there appears to be a parking lot quite nearby.
I've been known to arrive very early (6-7 am; GPS helps) in a city, get parked, then shower, fix breakfast, wander around, and /or nap, until whatever I came to see opens. But I realize this style of travel ain't everybody's cup of tea.

Just adding my agreement.
My hunny and I did this during our last visit San Antonio, Texas, and it worked wonderfully well.

Google the Georgia Aquarium. Then call them. When I was there two years ago, they had special parking for high clearance vehicles.
The zoo is in Grant park, and I think they don't have a parking garage so a high clearance vehicle will do just fin.
Atlanta is suffering from high crime, and I would not think of leaving my vehicle parked unattended at Grant Park, nor would I consider riding the busses anywhere in the downtown area. The trains are safe, however.
