Give us an update when you decide.

Wow, I'm glad you guys started this thread. My wife and I, and our yellow lab will be retiring next year, and we want to starttaking some trips all over the USA. We were thinking we would need one of the larger C's, but I really wanted to go as small as possible for multiple reasons. This thread shows that a nice B will work!
Keep this thread going, as you are providing some great insight into traveling in a B.
Thanks,.....marc

I wouldn't be so quick to assume that you will no longer have a convection oven....my 2008 RT RSA came the Apollo AAC-34 1/2 time, convection-microwave oven standard - and it seems that most Bs I looked at at last year's RV show had the same....and yes, it works great in every mode (regular convection oven, 1/2 time oven (I still haven't really figured out what this is, but it works great) and the microwave).
Mind you, it requires 1600 watts to run, which means you are either on shore power, or the generator is on. If you are traveling daily and boondocking, which you may do more as a B-owner, and don't want to turn on your stove, an alternative more energy efficient means of cooking full meals is a slow cooker.....my 2.5 quart crockpot only uses 180 watts/hr and can be run off the batteries via the inverter either while I'm out, or while I'm driving from place to place. The big advantage in my unit is that when driving, the auxiliary batteries are automatically charged through the battery separater by the Sprinter engine’s 180 amp alternator. This way I have an completely charged up set of auxillary batteries every night when I stop, and a cooked meal waiting for me.
