A million years ago, when I first started RVing, I bought a "kit" with a hose and connectors. Then I found that I needed additional connectors/hose/supports. Eventually I bought a rubbermaid tub just for the sewer hose stuff. It's full - and there are still times when I need to find the nearest Walmart and buy some additional doo-hickey in order to dump or stay hooked up. The connections are getting farther away and more complicated.

Why not go to Wally World and get one. It costs very little, maybe $5.00.

What you have is fine. In areas where the health department is being stupid, the park will be required to furnish a threaded ground piece. Where the park just wants to keep the neighbors from bit**ing, your unit will fit into the pipe and a rock or 2 will hold it. If they still grumble a rag can be wrapped around it to "seal" it. A look at the "caps" they furnish for closed pipes on unoccupied sites will tell you how serious they really are and you can proceed accordingly. I haven't needed a donut since I started using a rig with a dump tank more than 20 years ago. I stopped carrying one about 10 years ago.

Desert Trails RV Resort in Tucson points out on their park guidelines that sewer collars are required in Arizona. I just leave it on my elbow now, works fine.
