Finally a new rule that makes sense!
Not necessarily truck camper related, more of a public service announcement...

I could see having to wear the license above the waist as a real pain. Couldn't imagine having to keep up with it as the day progressed and you shed layers of clothes.
Just goes to show you, when every one thought California was a lost cause, there is still a glimour of hope.
Just finished a 12-day trip gathering photos for next report.Photo Albums

They sure had you fooled. I never wore it anyway. It was an un enforced law. You won't find anyone that has ever been cited for not wearing it.

I am actually on the other side of this issue. I remember talking with one of the game wardens who was using a spotting scope to check folks on the far side of South Lake in the Sierras. He mentioned that this allowed him to check for scofflaws at a distance. He said that this let him devote more time to providing help and information to the rest of us who bought licenses. I for one never found it that much of a problem. The cheaters bother me a whole lot more. And, contrary to the opinion it was never enforced, I know for a fact that citations were issued and fish confiscated.

I completely agree with your entire post!.....I used to work at a resort here that is regularly stocked. F&G would be up on the road behind the resort with binoculars. If they found anyone NOT wearing it, they entered through the back gate to write a ticket....Almost everyone not wearing a license didn't have one to wear!....I hate cheaters!
I don't like to brag, but I can still fit into the same pair of ear rings that I wore in high school!!!!

I never had an Issue with it. We have ours on a necklace. sometimes it's under a jacket and not visable. but, it's always there. Easy to take out to show the DFG.
I'll continue to wear it that way. Because I always look for it to put on before going fishing, It wont be easly lost. If I'm not wearing it, it's on top of the fridge... ready to go.

In many places... not only are the fish confiscated... so are the rods, reals, and other equipment, boats, tow vehicles... serious expense.
Here in TN the game and fish laws are inforced... we carry our licences in our wallets or where ever... just MUST be with you when fishing or hunting.
