Is it warm anywhere in Florida? We're near Orlando, leaving next Wed., 3/3 and want to go farther south in FL. Looking at Pine Island KOA and trying to find reviews. Lake Okeechobee KOA (Pahokee) but reviews not good. Trying not to spend $100/night or would go to the Keys.

Try CB Smith Park in Pembroke Pines. We will be leaving early on March 4, so, there should be a site available. (Headed for Ft De Soto) Also, some of the canadians are leaving. I hear the sap is coming-up in the maple trees.

We are in Victoria Palms in the RGV, and it appears that the end of the month is the magic time. Apparently a lot of people paid up through the end of February. There appears to be a mass exodis here also.

Some people have been gone for quite a long time from their Families , Homes and Communities . The urge to get back "home" is determined by how much one really cares about the things they have left behind . Living in an RV for such a long time may be ones American dream, along with the idea that cold and snow are something they wish to totally avoid in their lives . The thought of getting back "home" and living in a 2000sq ft house with room to roam inside and out is our dream . I know some may disagree with our thoughts , but for us , this is what our retirement dreams are . To live in the country , on a lake with more privacy than having your neighbor , as nice as they are , 20 feet from your door sounds very encouraging to leave early .

DaSu, you really need to meet up with and have dinner with Cloud Dancer who lives in San Ant.

No one here has left that I know of but people in this park own their lots and tend to arrive earlier & stay later.

Yea Ron, one did leave. The guy with the new Prevost and all the toys. He only stays a month. He needed to get back to Oklahoma to count his money.
I'm not leaving till April. I CAN'T IMAGINE leaving here and going back to snow, ice, and more cold. I HATE cold. I worked for 35 years to get to enjoy my time away from that stuff. Yea, it was cold here in the RGV this winter, but nothing like home. October till April is just about right for me.
