We have owned a Pleasureway Excel TD and now own a Roadtrek 19P.
We found the separate bathroom and the wide body of the Excel made a big difference in living in it for a longer period. One benefit, that we found, was to be able to contact Phil at Pleasureway, who seems to be able to solve any problem. We would have kept it except we live in a condo and they would not allow me to park it there.
We have since purchased a used Roadtrek 19P. We are happy with it for short term living but could not see us spending more than a week at a time in it. We use it for travelling only. Don;t like the bathroom set up and the lack of a separate bathroom sink.
I believe the quality of construction of both vehicles are much the same. You could not go wrong with either choice.

Thanks guys for all your informative and candid replys. I've read enough material on each Make, to qualify as a salesman for either--maybe. Did not read any real deal-breaker complaints on either so the DW and I weighed all the facts and arrived at a conclusion the best way we knew how....would you believe, that quarter landed on its edge? This spring there will be another CLass B sighting to report as we take a Shake Down cruise from MO to Baltimore to visit our families
and return via Clarksville TN to visit our youngest son. All in prep for out Alaska trip next summer. Good Load willing and the creek don't rise. Hope to see you around the campfire!

So far we have been able to park the Roadtrek at our condo. While the "executive" looks at it everytime they go past it, there has been no request to have it removed.
With the Pleasureway, it was only in the parking spot for about 48 hours before I got a telephone call to remove it immediately.
Guess the Roadtrek is less offensive to those non RV types.

Your profile does not provide us your location in the great state of Missouri, but you are so lucky to be in the same state as Van City. Most Class B forum members that have dealt with them speak very highly. They sell both the Pleasure Way and Roadtrek with a few others. And..they have a RV Show in Springfield this week-end. Happy hunting.

We have a 2006 PW Excel. The quality of the PW conversion is excellent and the Ford van has been flawless. The only issue I have is driveablility. I have had to make some changes to improve handling including Super Track wheel spacers and Michelin XPS rib tires. I also plan to install Bilstein shocks. I understand that Ford has upgraded the suspension on the new models so this may no longer be a problem. Good luck.

What all has been done in efforts to correct it? Most folks with the problem have found it curable. First, what tires, and what pressures in them and the air bags? Has it been to a good alignment shop with the PW alignment specs?
