Brad. We have our eye on that Garmin 465T. We will we buying one... The best price we found so far is Amazon 352.00. Saw a reconditioned one for 319.00 forget where. The retail price from the garmin website is 499.99. Circuit city advertises them at 359.99.

We have been using Garmin products for several years. We used them in the FAA and we were impressed with their technology and being user friendly.

Or you can purchase an iPhone with an app that does exactly the same thing as the 465T, save a lot of money, and have a device that does much more than navigate.

See post below.

BTW, Circuit City closed it's doors more than a year ago.

Wow,

Lots of good feedback! I guess the funds weren't bothering me because I need to replace the DW gps anyway - figured I would trade her. However, I wonder if the 465T would begin to annoy me driving without the 5er? I use the Nuvi everywhere, including rental cars.

I don't have an Ipod because we are Verizon - but otherwise that sounds like a nice option.

We are also Verizon. Will be using the 465T in the truck only and when we are in the truck the 5TH wheel is following us 95% of the time. We have the Garmin 205 and 260 for use when not trucking.

BTW Circut city is open again..under new management....same name...

I would recommend the the unit from Rand McNally or PC Miler. These are ones most professional truckers are using. Good luck!

It's not Circuit City, it simply TigerDirect.com, using the CC name.

I have the 465T but have not made a trip with the 5er since I purchased it. It had a car and truck mode. I have made one trip with the GMC using the 465T and it worked very good.

I was going to buy a 465T when they first arrived for $499. After reading the reviews I decided to wait for the second generation. I read lots of complaints but none I can remember specifically.

As anyone looked at the Cobra 7700 for 18-wheelers? Saw it at a FlyingJ while taking a pit stop. Sounds like it may be something RV's would be interested in. I was just curious if anyone has used or heard anything about them.

This Cobra looks like it could be a good unit and has 7 in screen.
I never heard of it until above post but I just found this thread from another site that has 10 pages of reading on it.
