I wouldn't trust rv park reviews too much. I posted about a bad experience I had last month and it hasn't been posted yet. I doubt if it will be. It wasn't a good review. Suffice to say I would not recommend Stone Creek in Schertz Texas unless you will just be staying overnight.

I am the OP and totally disagree with you. I have "nailed" several very highly rated RV parks in rvparkreviews.com based on MY particular experience and have NEVER been censored.

There are people who have axes to grind or they are just naturally butthead complainers. I have found that if there are enough posts on a particular campground you can treat the reviews like a Bell curve. Take off the lows and highs and concentrate on the middle. If you do so, you can usually get a good idea of what to expect. Then if I'm unsure, I ask here!

If all 400+ viewers of this thread did post on rvparkreviews.com, you would make my selection process and that of many others much easier.

I thought I would contribute to park reviews one time. Reading the instructions you will find out that you have to post 'several' reviews 'before' they decide to post one 'on' the site.
Seems like a real stupid requirement and most likely encourages people to write 2 or 3 bogus reviews so that that one they want posted 'gets' posted.

I checked the reviews of the CG's I had been at and 99% of them were incorrect. And like one forum member stated some people have an ax to grind, maybe because they were asked to conform to the CG rules and they thought they didn't have to.
I haven't been back to that site nor would I take a review seriously making me decide to go or not to go to a CG.

I have posted about 60 reviews on RVparkreviews. They have all been posted. They have had a lot of trouble with campground owners doing good reviews on their own parks and bad reviews on their competitors. They have worked very hard to stop this and it results on some valid reviews not getting posted. It should be blamed on the tricky campground owners, not on the site. I know they don't post reviews until you have done three and they look correct. I have seen glowing reviews on really shoddy places. This is just a fact that we have to live with. The site is a great source, we just have to understand the problems.

I don't think the ammeneties of a park are as important as the location of the park. How far to the beach? Can I access the bike trail? How far do I have to travel to launch my kayak?
I've been here all winter and spent maybe 5 days in the park, and three were spent waxing the camper.
If you're new to snowbirding, you'll be getting out and checking things out. And be regreting those "extras" you spent an additional $1,000/mo. to have.

For the record I've stayed at that park twice in the last year and have been both thrilled with the price (14.50 PA) and its location (15 min. from Alamo). I'll stay again!!
Oh yeah on subject I've had all mine posted on RV but agree that sometimes I think that CG owners have some lemmings to provide input if criticism is high.

I've been reading and posting about the CG's we visited in this our maiden snowbird voyage. As mentioned above, it's helpful to check the other posts made by people to see if they are interested in the same type of amenities that we are or if they just hate everything. I also posted an outright request for a campground referral the other day which directed me to a wonderful campground (at least so far) so thanks for that too.

Man, you are right about this place. There is NOTHING nice I can say about Stone Creek, so I won't say anything.

Y'all have fun now!!

AS stated many times before, with RV Park Reviews you have to post 3 reviews on 3 different parks before any are posted. This system was put in place to try to cut back on slimeball campground owners writing great reviews on their parks and horrible reviews on the guys down the street. It is a pain but necessary due to the people trying to game the system. It is a great site and we use it all the time. Write up some more and yo will get posted. You can contact the administrators also. Good Luck
