got laid off this week so ive been working hard the last 2 days on the beast.
restructured as much as i could for as cheap as i could, may not be the proper way to do it , but seems super solid as far as these trailers are concerned.
sideing will cover the brackets and screws , ill have to build up the front wall 1/4 of an inch for the inner wall paneling not a huge deal.
here are some pics

Hey how's it going. Nice job on the repair work!!! I also just received a 1971 scamper for free!!!!! it was my Aunts. Has been sitting in her yard since 1993(last time it was insured). I have it now and it is in pretty good shape but I am afraid I will have to what you are doing but only to the back passenger corner. But keep me posted on your work and vids They will surly help

Well after a total time of 10 days total, i have managed to replace the wood on the left side , front and rear corners. remove every single window and replaced the putty tape. caulked with rv caulking, and retape and caulk all trim, cargo doors etc.
due to possibly having to move it shortly i havent had much time to video much of the restoration.
I still have the inside to do and that i will be recording so stay tuned
over all id have to say Ive seen more rotten 2000 and up rvs then this thing was.
overall the original factory build was quite good.... very cheap but lasted this long out side all the time. and the trailer was neglected. never caulked or covered
total cost in this rebuild so far is around $350 worth of materials
and labour.......priceless, seriously im Ready to pass out.... and if i have to see 1 more staple :|
Tomorrow i will post a video of the exterior completely sealed....
Skill level required? , anyone with patience can do this, before this project id never cut a piece a wood in my life.

My advise First thing you do is remove all corner trim and replace the puddy tape and caulk around it , even if it is not leaking, because it will especially if you start to pull it after it sitting since 1993.
these are the areas that are most neglected and leak, but once you remove it be prepared to replace some wood.
remove the windows and replace the tape too.
