well for thoughs of you who know i got a 1971 scamper 15 foot for free with some issues with it, its time to get going on the resto, the corners are leaking so bad on the front left that its soaking the laminate storage counter / cupboard and the front windows are now leaking too.
if you haven t seen this rig check this link out here
i pulled the dinette out and found the front floor is going to need to be done too, as well as the sides.
at least i have some wood working experience. was going to take off the the outside aluminum to access the issues but i might as well take the interior apart first if i have to replace the front part of the floor
stay tuned ill post pic and vids

My family did a similar restor with a '72 Frolic. Given to us for free, all I had to do was remove it from under 50 foot pine trees were it had been stored for the last 8 years. Didn't even open the door when we picked it up...too scared. When we got it home and opened it, the entire inside ceiling came down with a lot of water, mildew and scat (squirrels and racoons living in it).
We had the same issues as you with the corners and flooring. I worked weeekends for a better part of a summer and winter but did manage to get it to a point we used it several times to camp with. I in turn gave it away when we purchased a new one.
Good luck, have fun, measure twice and cut once.

Hi,
Replacing soft floor can be interesting. It is good that you got it for a good price. Now how much are you willing to invest in the trailer? Both in time and materials.
Good Luck,
Fred.

Well today i got the bad news done .
pulled off the rotten floor , front inner wall panel and left front wall
board. you can see my work here
Im using this project as the experience builder so my man hours are not being kept track of , and the parts will be relatively cheap, not original though
I do have a question about putty tape , is it best to use putty tape on the windows and trim or can you use eternabond like putty tape.i want the best possible seal on everything because i will be towing this thing lots

Yes, use putty tape on all windows, vents, etc. It cushions as well as seals. Eternabond is usually sticky on one side and covers a problem area. Even tho Eternabond is made in a double sided sticky tape, I don't recommend it for re-installaton. My roof vent was leaking and had Etbond double sided...VK
